We are proud to announce a recent achievement by our esteemed attorney, Dan Devlin, in our commercial litigation department. Dan skillfully represented two small businesses, one located in Philadelphia and the other in Lehigh County, in response to civil actions brought against them in their respective courts. His expert handling of the cases involved filing preliminary objections, which the courts favorably granted in both instances. This led to the dismissal of the plaintiff’s complaints in each case. Notably, in the Philadelphia case, the court did not permit the plaintiff to file an amended complaint, while in the Lehigh case, a 20-day period was granted for amendment. As of now, no further developments have occurred in either case. This outcome not only signifies our commitment to protecting the interests of small businesses but also highlights the exceptional legal acumen of our team at van der Veen, Hartshorn & Levin.
