Kaitlin McCaffrey is a litigation attorney licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey whose practice focuses on employment litigation, civil rights litigation, criminal defense, and commercial litigation. She represents individuals, businesses, and governmental entities in state and federal courts and has extensive experience handling matters through all stages of litigation, from initial investigation and discovery through trial and appeal.
Kaitlin's employment practice includes representing employees in matters involving discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, and restrictive covenant disputes. She also regularly litigates civil rights cases involving constitutional violations and claims brought pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983. In addition, she represents clients in complex commercial disputes and criminal matters, providing strategic and effective advocacy both inside and outside the courtroom.
Kaitlin regularly advocates for clients in courtrooms throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey and has experience handling matters through trial and appeal. She has served as trial counsel in both civil and criminal jury trials, represented clients in numerous bench trials and evidentiary hearings, and argued appeals before the New Jersey Appellate Division and the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court. Her experience as both a trial and appellate advocate allows her to develop litigation strategies with an eye toward the entire life cycle of a case, from initial pleadings through final resolution.
Before entering private practice, Kaitlin served as a law clerk to the Honorable Mary Beth Kramer of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Criminal Division. She earned her Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School, where she participated in the Children's Justice Clinic and completed an externship with the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights. She received her undergraduate degree in Mathematical Economics from the University of Delaware and was awarded the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association's James J. Manderino Award for Trial Advocacy upon graduating from law school.
Outside of her practice, Kaitlin enjoys spending time with family and friends and with her dog, Mo.
