Abigail is a Florida native who graduated with her bachelor’s degree from University of Florida with the Dean’s Medal of Excellence, where she majored in criminology and minored in communications and anthropology. Having family ties to Pittsburgh, Abigail relocated and attended Duquesne University School of Law, where she graduated with her J.D., with a specialty in Criminal Litigation in May 2021. Abigail also recently graduated with her LLM in Trial Advocacy from the Temple University Beasley School of Law.

During law school, Abigail worked at firms specializing in personal injury, family law and civil rights. At Duquesne, Abigail was a member of the Jewish Law Society, Women’s Law Society, Allegheny County Bar Association and she served as Treasurer of the Sports & Entertainment Law Society. Abigail also was a Legal Skills Mentor during her time at Duquesne University.

Abigail began her legal career as Michael van der Veen’s law clerk at van der Veen, Hartshorn, Levin & Lindheim. After passing the bar, Abigail transitioned into the role as an Associate Attorney. Her primary focus is on criminal defense, while also assisting in civil matters. Abigail also does pro bono work with the Pennsylvania Innocence Project and Philadelphia VIP.

Abigail takes great pride in ensuring her clients are zealously represented and handles all types of cases across Pennsylvania.

When not in the courtroom, Abigail enjoys spending time with her 7-year-old Chow Chow and hitting the Colorado slopes.
